WATCH THE VIDEO HERE A video of longtime Rollin’ 60s Crips leader and music executive Eugene “Big U” Henley Jr has resurfaced online, and in the video, he appears to freely admit forcing celebrities to “check in” with him before being allowed to work in the city. In the clip, Big U says that he is on a hood movie set. “Movie production in the hood. That’s how we do it. GB running this here movie set in the hood,” he says, panning the camera to a man standing behind him wearing a security vest. Big U says he visited the set to check in with GB, “getting his movies done.” “You betta know,” Big U continues. “Anytime you want to do movies in the hood, just get checking in. We can make sure it’s done. Movies. Videos. But if you dont check it in,” he adds. Big U turned himself in the week after he was charged in a federal complaint alleging he ran a criminal enterprise that committed a series of racketeering crimes, including extortion, human trafficking, fraud, and the 2021 murder of an aspiring rap musician. “The lead defendant and others in this case have for too long gotten away with violent acts and stealing money from taxpayers and well-intentioned donors whether they use intimidation tactics or wield influence as purportedly rehabilitated original gangsters,” said Akil Davis, the Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office. “The FBI and our partners have worked for four years to bring justice in this case and will continue to root out this kind of criminal behavior plaguing the streets of Los Angeles.”
