A video capturing a confrontation between Labour Party (LP) National Chairman, Barr. Julius Abure, and social media activist Ms. Precious Oruche, popularly known as “Mama P,” has surfaced online.
Mama P, a supporter of the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was seen in the footage approaching Abure as he prepared to board an aircraft.
In the video, sighted by POLITICS NIGERIA, she is heard expressing her displeasure over the party’s leadership.
Dressed in red, she is heard shouting, “Is this not Julius Abure? You are the one frustrating Nigerians. In case nobody has told you, you are the one frustrating Nigerians.”
She further accused the LP chairman of evading law enforcement, saying, “Police dey find you, you dey carry aeroplane.”
The incident took place before a flight from Abuja to Benin.
Labour Party National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, had earlier alleged that Mama P was behind a series of verbal and physical confrontations directed at Abure during the trip.
The latest development comes amid divisions within the opposition party, which is currently split into factions — one loyal to Julius Abure and another aligned with Peter Obi.
