Vigilante Uncovers Hideout Of Man Who Fled Aluu Community After Killing A Reverend Sister, Cooling Off Inside Rivers Police Net

The Rivers State Police Command on Thursday 24th April,2025 took into custody one Kelvin Okoro who allegedly murdered Miss Maureen Wecheonwu,a Reverend Sister on 26th March,2025 at Aluu in Ikwerre Local Government,we learnt.

Community sources disclosed that the suspect was apprehended on Thursday morning,April 24th,2025 when Kingsley Wali, Commander of a local vigilante known as ONELGA Security and Planning Advisory Committee(OSPAC), in Aluu community led his personnel to the hideout of Mr. Okoro where he was apprehended.

We learnt that the suspect lured the Reverend sister to a lonely place in pretence of discussing the huge debt he was owing her which he was unable to pay,when he allegedly killed her and fled the community.

The Spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command,Grace Iringe Koko who is also a Superintendent of Police confirmed the incident.

“Yes,I can confirm the arrest of the suspect.The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State,CP Olugbenga Adepoju has directed the transfer of the suspect and case file to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department,SCIID Port Harcourt for discreet investigation” SP Koko said.
