Viral UFO Doc The Age of Disclosure Reveals Digital Release Date

The question of whether we are alone in the universe is at the heart of the viral UFO documentary The Age of Disclosure, which has officially announced its release plans, including when and where it will be available to watch at home.

The Age of Disclosure, which premiered at the 2025 South by Southwest Film Festival to much buzz, will officially arrive on November 21, with select theatrical screenings in Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C., as well as being made available to buy or rent on Prime Video worldwide. Interested viewers can pre-order the movie on Prime Video.

From filmmaker Dan Farah, The Age of Disclosure claims to reveal “an 80-year global cover-up of non-human intelligent life and a secret war among major nations to reverse engineer advanced technology of non-human origin,” per the trailer description. The documentary interviews 34 former and current US government, military, and intelligence community insiders, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, New York Sen. Kristen Gillibrand, South Dakota Sen. Mike Rounds, and General Jim Clapper.

The documentary comes on the heels of Congress making a push to declassify government records related to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), aka UFOs, that began in 2023 and has since followed up with bi-partisan Congressional hearings on UAP and specific legislation about the public disclosure of UAP-related information.

Despite this recent push by members of government to provide more info into UAP/UFOs, Farah told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview, “There are people who want the topic to continue to be kept from the public entirely. So I went to great lengths to make this documentary in secret over the last two-and-a-half-years.”

Following The Age of Disclosure‘s premiere at South by Southwest, there has been plenty of debate surrounding the movie. Many of the reviews available for the film (there is no Rotten Tomatoes score at this time) question whether Farah’s work does enough to convince UFO skeptics. Others, meanwhile, have praised the film, including podcaster Joe Rogan.

This isn’t the only UFO-centric project in Hollywood at the moment. Steven Spielberg is working on a mystery UFO movie, while another documentary focused on UFOs, The Alien Perspective, was released earlier in 2025. Even looking back a couple of years, Jordan Peele’s Nope revolved heavily around the idea of a UFO.

Again, The Age of Disclosure is going to premiere in limited movie theaters and be available to buy or rent on Prime Video starting November 21.
