vivo X200 series to launch in early October to compete with the iPhone 16 series

In the latest news, market research firm World Street China speculates that Vivo will launch its vivo X200 series sometime in early October this year. It means the vivo X200 series will also serve as an alternative to the iPhone 16 series devices.

According to a report, Vivo will launch at least two smartphones as part of the vivo X200 series – the vivo X200 and the vivo X200 Pro. The standard model is said to feature a 6.3″ flat AMOLED display that comes with 1.5K resolution and offers a 120Hz refresh rate. In comparison, the Pro model will pack a curved AMOLED panel that will have the same resolution and refresh rate as that of the standard model.

The vivo X200 will reportedly come with an impressive 50-megapixel 22nm Sony main sensor, a periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, as well as an ultra-wide lens. It will also boast a large 5,500 mAh battery that will feature both wired and wireless charging. A device with model number V2415A has already appeared on China’s 3C certification platform. It reportedly represents the vivo X200. According to the listing, the device supports 90W fast charging.

The Pro model packs a massive battery and a 200MP periscope telephoto

Moving on to the Pro model, it will boast a 50-megapixel main camera with a large aperture, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultra-wide lens. It will also pack a larger 6000 mAh battery.

Both the flagships are expected to come with an improved X-axis moto for better haptic feedback and an IP68 or IP69 dust and water resistant rating for better protection.

In terms of software, users may get to experience OriginOS custom skin (in China) based on Android 15. There’s no word on the pricing and availability of the lineup yet.
