They join a diverse roster of global superstars set to take the stage at the UBS Arena in New York on September 12. LL Cool J, a hip-hop pioneer, will perform new music from his upcoming album “The Force” and celebrate his contributions to hip-hop. Anitta will bring her signature Brazilian funk to the stage with a medley of hits and the world premiere of “Paradise.” Karol G will make a powerful return with a performance showcasing her record-breaking album “Mañana Será Bonito.” Shawn Mendes will debut music from his upcoming self-titled album. Previously announced performers include Benson Boone, Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, LISA, Rauw Alejandro, and Sabrina Carpenter, with Katy Perry as this year’s Vanguard recipient. Taylor Swift leads the nomination list with 10 nods, followed by Post Malone with nine. African stars Burna Boy, Tems, Tyla, Davido, Ayra Starr, Lojay, and Pheelz have earned nominations in the “Best Afrobeats” category, with Tyla securing three nods. The VMAs 2024 promises to be an unforgettable night of music and celebration.
