THE Super Falcons of Nigeria will be involved in a four-nation WAFU B tournament in preparation for the defence of their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.

The African queens secured a record-extending 10th WAFCON title in Morocco last July and will be back in the same country later this year for the next edition.

To keep in shape, the Super Falcons will be competing in the WAFU B Four-Nation Tournament in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire from February 27 to March 7.

The other nations taking part in the WAFU B tournament are hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria’s archrivals Ghana and Senegal.

The 2026 WAFCON is scheduled for Morocco from March 17 to April 3, with the Super Falcons and 15 other teams participating.

The Super Falcons are in Group C with Zambia, Egypt and Malawi.

The tournament will serve as the qualifying competition for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, with the WAFCON semi-finalists advancing to the global event in Brazil.
