Spanish La Liga club Sevilla treated Super Eagles stars Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke to a warm welcome upon their return from international duty with Nigeria, Soccernet.ng reports.
Ejuke and Adams were called up to the Super Eagles squad for the CAF World Cup playoffs last week, and they both played important roles for the country.
The two players scored in the first game against Gabon last Thursday. Adams scored Nigeria’s opener, while Ejuke, who came on as a substitute, scored the second goal for the Super Eagles after the game went into extra time.
Unfortunately for the two players, they could not help the Super Eagles defeat DR Congo in the final in Rabat on Sunday.
Adams played the entire 120 minutes for Nigeria, while Ejuke came off the bench in the second half.

The Leopards eventually claimed the victory after defeating Nigeria on penalties. That result effectively means that the Super Eagles will not feature in the upcoming World Cup.

Sevilla have had a number of Super Eagles players on their books over the last two years. They had Kelechi Iheanacho last season but later parted ways with him in the summer due to his failure to impress.
However, Chidera Ejuke and Akor Adams appear to have sealed their status as regulars for Los Nervionenses.
The two players returned to club training on Wednesday following the international break. They were welcomed by teammates and coaching staff with handshakes and warm hugs.

This season, Adams has registered two goals and one assist in 10 La Liga appearances, while Ejuke has one assist in nine games.

Up next for them is a game against Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium on Monday, where they will be looking to help Sevilla claim all three points. Los Nervionenses currently sit 9th in the La Liga table with 16 points from 12 games.
