Popular Nigerian socialite Pascal Okechukwu, known as Cubana Chief Priest, drew attention at Craven Cottage over the weekend after attending Fulham’s Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion, Soccernet.ng reports.
Cubana Chief Priest was spotted in the stands backing Nigerian internationals Samuel Chukwueze, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, who all featured as the West Londoners claimed a dramatic 2–1 comeback victory on Saturday.
Fulham rally past Brighton as Nigerians shine
Brighton took the lead in the first half through Yasin Ayari, which placed pressure on Marco Silva’s side heading into the break.
Silva’s men, however, responded strongly in the second half, with Samuel Chukwueze drawing them level in the 72nd minute.
Deep into stoppage time, substitute Harry Wilson sealed the win with a superb free-kick in the 93rd minute, which sparked wild celebrations inside Craven Cottage and lifted Fulham further up the Premier League table.
Cubana Chief Priest meets Super Eagles stars
After the match, a viral video showed Cubana Chief Priest in the VIP area exchanging handshakes and taking photos with the players.
Wearing a Fulham beanie, he collected autographed shirts from Chukwueze (No. 19), Iwobi and Bassey, while praising their performances.
Cubana Chief Priest later took to social media to celebrate the trio and their bond at Craven Cottage.
“What an amazing & sweet matchday at Fulham FC with my brothers Calvin Bassey, Samuel Chukwueze and Alex Iwobi. The love, loyalty & respect you guys share amongst yourselves is so warm. Like this, Fulham na the Super Eagles. Good luck, guys,” he wrote.
