“Watching the kids scramble to write a poem for you says it all” – Mercy Johnson sweetly celebrates husband on his birthday

Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson Okojie is celebrating her husband, Prince Odi Okojie, as he turns a new age today, May 15th, 2025.

Sharing a video of her husband and first daughter, Purity, she lamented how the two wouldn’t let them have peace in the house, as she promised to pay them back by using her son.

Wishing him a happy birthday, Johnson stated that watching their kids scramble to write a poem for him says all about it, as she reaffirmed her love for him.

Last year, there was a failed assassination on Mercy Johnson’s husband. According to vital reports, the federal lawmaker was reportedly attacked by armed men suspected to be political thugs at his residence in Uromi. His media aide said the attempt was unsuccessful owing to the intervention of security personnel attached to the lawmaker.

Also, last year, Prince Okojie had defended Mercy against her colleague, Angela Okorie, after she dragged her, accusing her and her mother of being witches. The politician urged the public to check on their loved ones as he noted how mental health is real.

Following his defence of her, Mercy had poured out her heart to him on his birthday. She described him as her pillar, strength, hero and love. Calling him her babe, she stated that she was in short of words as she declared him ‘her everything and more’.

In another post, Johnson appreciated her politician husband for everything he did for the family. She stated that her husband was the first man who truly loved the kids as she rained praises, calling him her life, hope, strength, hero and smile. Mercy added that her husband had shown her the true meaning of family and love.

In August, the couple celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary. Mercy, who stated that she was short of words, expressed gratitude to her Maker as she shared a video of the family over the years.

Prince Okojie also shared a photo of himself and his wife, as he questioned what more he could say. He appreciated his Maker for 13 blissful years with his wife.
