Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe Adeoti has expressed excitement as her 2024 movie Thinline bags an AMVCA nomination.

On Sunday, the organisers of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards announced the nominees for the 11th edition of the award.

Actress Uche Montana was nominated for Best Lead Actress for her killer role in Thinline, a Mercy Aigbe movie.

Taking to her Instagram page, Mercy expressed excitement for Uche for the nomination. She described her movie as a masterpiece and noted how Uche Montana did justice to it.

Mercy expressed hope that Uche would win the award with God’s help and the support of her fans.

Mercy Aigbe made her first delve into Cinema production with Ada Omo Daddy which was well received by Nigerians. The movie star couldn’t keep calm when her movie grossed one N187 million and was the 3rd highest grossing movie. This was a huge milestone, especially with competition from Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.

Following the success of her first Cinema movie, the movie producer had worked on her second Cinema movie, Thin Line which was also a success at the Cinema as it grossed over N100 million at the box office.

A few days back, Aigbe shared one of her greatest joys as a filmmaker. The movie star revealed that her greatest joy as a filmmaker was knowing that her movie resonates with so many people and evokes emotions. She expressed how incredible it was to see how her 2023 film touched hearts and continues to inspire many more.
