Nigerian blogger Noble Igwe has penned a heartfelt note to the Lagos State government following a fire incident in his house.
The new father of three, via his Instagram page, shared videos of the aftermath of the incident, expressing gratitude to God. The blogger revealed that his kitchen caught fire while they were preparing to go out for brunch, and his help informed them, and they ran out with their children.
Noble noted that it is good to build a community, as his community, which included his drivers, gatekeepers, and house owners, all showed up and contained the fire to the kitchen.
The entertainer said the amazing part was that the Lagos Fire Service showed up on time with a brand new truck. He noted that Nigerians often criticise the government, but he is thankful to them.

At about 12:30 p.m., the AC in our kitchen caught fire while we were getting ready to go out for brunch.
The help informed us, and Chioma ran out with her children, asking for the keys to her car.

In January, BBNaija’s Kim Oprah had cried out after a fire engulfed a multimillion-naira recreational spot in Ikoyi, Lagos. She called the urgent assistant of the fire service, revealing that the popular recreational spot, Bogobiri, was on fire.
Also, this year, during the wildfire ragging in US, reality star, Faith Morey, had expressed gratitude for being safe. She expressed heartbreak for those who were affected by the disaster, and applauded the firefighters and first responders who risked their lives to protect them.
In December, while promoting her Cinema movie, Mercy Aigbe and her husband, Kazim Adeoti lost their Lagos mansion to a fire incident. The movie star shared a video of the aftermath of her property, as she expressed how devastated she was, however, she was grateful that no life was lost.
In September, Uche Ogbodo lost two of her stores; one to flood and another to the Government’s demolition. A heartbroken Uche noted how she lost it all: her hard work, blood, tears, and years of prayers to build her brand in a twinkle of an eye, which left her in pain.
Similarly, Laura Ikeji revealed that while she was battling with her last born at night, her beauty store had burnt. However, despite the loss, she was grateful to God as she noted how material things can be replaced.
In 2023, Yoruba actress Bidemi Kosoko lost her house to a fire incident. Her elder sister, Sola Kosoko had shared a video of the aftermath of her house, as she narrated how the incident happened
Also, that year, singer, Orezi shared on social media that his house, valued at over 300 million Naira, was destroyed by fire.
Singer, Small Doctor also lost his Lagos mansion to a fire incident. Though properties were destroyed in the fire, Small Doctor said no life was lost.
In August, AY’s Lagos house was gutted by fire when his wife and kids were overseas and millions of properties were destroyed. Videos online captured the moment a Lagos State Fire Service truck tried quenching the raging fire.
A similar incident happened to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi in April, 2023, as a building apartment in the palace was razed down by fire.
