ALEX Iwobi has expressed satisfaction with the home form of Fulham and declared that they are ready for any opposition following the 1-0 victory over Sunderland in the English Premier League yesterday.
The Super Eagles midfielder played for 89 minutes as Fulham secured the narrow victory, with his fellow Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze supplying the pass to Raul Jimenez for the 84th minute winner.
Fulham at home and away are worlds apart this season, with the club securing 13 points from six matches at Craven Cottage but only one point from the same number of games on the road.
“Our home form has been really good. They’re a tough side and they’ve been doing really well but we have belief that we can perform against anyone,” Iwobi told Sky Sports after the victory over Sunderland.
Iwobi, who is the Nigerian with the most Premier League appearances with over 300, spoke more on Fulham’s missed chances, confidence and tactics.
He said: “We created so many chances today. It was almost one of those where you wonder if it will ever go on. Credit to the lads we kept on believing and thank god one of them went in.
“We don’t fear anyone in the league. We give our respect to Sunderland. But now it’s all about consistency for us to go and get the results we need.
“In the week we were working on different ways to break down Sunderland. it was working but we couldn’t put the goal in the net. As long as we can keep clean sheets then we’ll always create chances to score.”
Fulham are currently 15th in the table with 14 points from 12 matches, just three points clear of the relegation zone.
