The Super Eagles of Nigeria will lock horns with the Carthage Eagles in their second game of AFCON 2025

Tunisia coach Sami Trabelsi has warned that every team has weak points, and they have studied Nigeria’s ahead of their AFCON 2025 clash on Saturday, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Carthage Eagles will lock horns with the Super Eagles on the grass of the Complexe Sportif De Fes on Saturday.

Both teams head into the fixture on level ground, albeit Nigeria’s roster has better quality players on paper.

While the quality of players will be a key determinant in which way the game swings, the managerial decisions will also be important. Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle will have to field a strong lineup with a rock-solid setup.

Tunisia already claimed a comfortable 3-1 win in their first game against Uganda, and they are brimming with confidence.

Ahead of the fixture, Carthage Eagles coach Trabelsi has expressed confidence in his team’s chances of claiming all three points against Nigeria.

“In the last game there was no real expression. When we play with only organised offense and defense, it decreases the performance of some players,” Tabelsi said ahead of the game.

“Nigeria are strong offensively and defensively. All players will be involved, not only defenders. We focus only on the field; social media or past results will not affect us.

“Hazem is fit and doing better in training. There is no national team without weak points, and we have studied Nigeria’s. To go far, we must beat big teams.”

Trabelsi has been in charge of the Carthage Eagles since February this year, and he has had enough time to work with his players. So they will have a very good understanding of how he plays.

Nigeria vs Tunisia: Super Eagles Must Avoid Defeat

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have to avoid a defeat against Tunisia on Saturday to put themselves in a good place to win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Additionally, the last time both teams met was at the 2021 AFCON, and Nigeria lost. So this time, they will be looking to get their pound of flesh - at least for the bragging rights.

The Carthage Eagles will definitely have the support of the fans, as Tunisia to Morocco is just a few hours. So Nigeria shouldn’t expect any love on the night.

This is a proper litmus test for Chelle and his boys, and they will be hoping to remain on top.
