Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has advised mothers and women about their children.
During her daughter Priscilla’s baby shower in Canada over the weekend, Iyabo said women must begin to prophesy good things into their children’s lives. She cautioned women not to believe that because a certain thing happened to their mum, it happened to them, and it must happen to their children.
Iyabo told them to break it as she noted that there is an ancestral curse. The mother of two stressed that mothers must break and stop it.
“We women must begin to prophesy good things into the lives of our children. Don’t have the belief that because a certain thing happened to your mum, it happened to you, and it must happen to your children. Break it. There is something called the Ancestral curse. You must break and stop it”.
During the baby shower, Iyabo rained Priscilla’s prayers, declaring that her marriage would work even though hers didn’t. Iyabo said she had paid the price for Priscilla to have a happy and long-lasting home.
Iyabo Ojo was once married to the father of her two kids, Priscilla and Festus Ojo, Mr. Ademidun Ojo. Unfortunately, the marriage packed up shortly after the birth of their two children.
Speaking on it, Iyabo in a podcast interview revealed that she experienced poverty for the first time when she married her now ex-husband. She described the experience with her ex as an adventure for her, as she was craving attention, which he gave her.
In an interview with Seun Oloketuyi in March, Iyabo stated that she feels like what her children are reaping now is because of her good deeds. The proud mother of two further stated that when parents have kids early, it makes them feel young, as she noted how nobody wants to grow old.
Two years back, Iyabo shared her painful experiences of surviving as a single mother and being treated as a second-class citizen due to her failed marriage. Iyabo recounted how people called her all manner of names because of her failed marriage both in the movie industry and the world at large.
