Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has said that members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, are rebuilding the party into a robust, united and focused party that could lead Nigeria again.
Fintiri made this statement in a post on his verified X handle on Thursday after inspecting the venue of the event scheduled for November 15.
Recall that the PDP has recently been hit by a gale of defections, with many prominent members, joining the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State and his Bayelsa counterpart, Douye Diri, moved to the APC one day apart this week.
Reacting, Fintiri said, “Today, I led the PDP National Convention Organising Committee Executive to Ibadan, Oyo State, to assess preparations for our forthcoming Ibadan 2025 Convention.
“Governor Seyi Makinde’s efforts reflect excellence and readiness. We’re building a stronger PDP—united, focused, and prepared to lead Nigeria forward.”
