Nigerian rapper Daniel Tuotamuno Darius, popularly known as DanDizzy, has expressed concern over the rising level of begging in the country.

In a tweet posted on Monday, the 30-year-old Port Harcourt-born songwriter said he is constantly approached for money wherever he goes, even by people who are employed.

According to him, it is no longer just the jobless asking for help, even workers like receptionists, security personnel, waitresses, and sometimes even their supervisors are now begging due to the hardship in the country.

DanDizzy said the situation has worsened and that even salaries are no longer enough to sustain many Nigerians, Naijaonpoint reports.

“We’ve never had begging this bad in Nigeria, they’re literally begging you every corner and I mean people with jobs, receptionists, security men, waitresses and even sometimes their supervisors are joining them, people are poor and their salaries are not enough, God abeg!! If you wake two places for this Nigeria make them no beg u money make I no blow!!!! Even if u just Dey land airport sef??”, he wrote.

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer, Cynthia Morgan, also known as Madrina, has called out her former label boss, Jude Okoye, over their long-standing issues and music earnings.

Naijaonpoint reports that Cynthia Morgan, in a post via Instagram on Monday, accused Jude of speaking negatively about her while avoiding direct communication with her.

She stated that all efforts to meet with Okoye in person have been unsuccessful, stressing that she is disappointed in him.
