Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode is singing the praises of her senior colleague and boss, Funke Akindele, following her box office achievement.
Kemi Filani reported on Monday that Funke had made history, becoming the first filmmaker to gross N2 billion at the box office.
Taking to her Instagram page to eulogise her, Juliana described Funke as an exceptional woman. She expressed her gratitude that God continues to bless Funke’s efforts with great success.
The Toyo Baby star said Funke didn’t get to where she is by chance or by fluke, as it has been the result of many years of hard work, bending her back, and working tirelessly with almost nothing.
She noted how Akindele set the pace, paved the way, opened people’s eyes to possibilities, and opened the door to a billion, and didn’t stop there.

Since their reconciliation, Juliana hasn’t ceased to show her loyalty to Funke.
Refreshing your memory, in May 2023, the Jenifa Dairy star had surprised many when she tendered a deep apology to Funke after they fell apart for undisclosed reasons in 2017. She reflected on how she rose to fame overnight by playing the lead role in Funke Akindele’s movie, as she narrated what led to their beef and tendered a public apology to the actress for being misled; Akindele accepted the apology with open arms.
Following their reconciliation, their relationship has continued to wax stronger as Juliana disclosed that she’s inseparable from the box office actress, and she has learned dancing from the best.
To further prove her love for Funke, she threw shade at haters and critics of Funke’s box office movie, A Tr!be Called Judah. She noted how a film critic wrote an article trashing the movie, yet the movie keeps shattered records in the cinemas.
In an Instagram post, Juliana had showered encomium on Funke as she recalled how the movie star emptied her account to save her mother’s life as she was battling Fibroid.
Last year, the activist had poured praises on Akindele, noting how she is always on her grind and minding her business. She stated that she is celebrating her for being that Woman, as she declared that Funke is who she thinks she is.
