Billionaire businesswoman Folorunsho Alakija has opened up about a personal promise she made to God after receiving His blessings.

In a post on her Instagram page, she revealed that she made a covenant to dedicate her life to serving God, and she has been faithfully fulfilling that commitment.

Naijaonpoint reports that the philanthropist revealed this while sharing a video on Instagram from her just concluded crusade event hosted by her ministry, Rose of Sharon.

She wrote: “I made a covenant with God that if He would bless me, I would spend the rest of my life serving Him, and that’s exactly what I am doing.”

In other news, Nigerian singer, Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma popularly known as Qing Madi has spoken about the struggles women face in the country’s music scene.

Naijaonpoint reports that the American Love crooner shared that the industry does not provide enough support for female artists and that the environment makes it harder for them to grow.

During a chat on the Wahala Podcast, the 19-year-old singer explained that women are often judged more harshly than their male colleagues.

She said that while men are allowed freedom to act as they wish, women are usually placed under strict expectations and face more criticism.
