What Moral Authority Do You Have To Comment On Leadership? – Atiku’s Aide Blasts Oshiomhole

Adams Oshiomhole and Atiku

Special Adviser to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Phrank Shaibu, has berated the Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, over comments against his principal.

Naijaonpoint reports that Oshiomhole had said Atiku lacks the competence to lead Nigeria, arguing that his failure to stabilise the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) proves he cannot manage a complex nation.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Oshiomhole questioned Atiku’s leadership credentials, insisting that the former PDP presidential candidate had been unable to organise or strengthen the party where he once served as vice president.

In response, Atiku’s aide, in a post via 𝕏 on Tuesday, stated that Oshiomhole has no moral authority to comment on leadership, given that the All Progressives Congress (APC) could not fix Nigeria after the 8-year tenure of the late Muhammadu Buhari and nearly 3 years of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Phrank Shaibu maintained that Oshiomhole’s attempt to question Atiku‘s capacity is nothing more than a tired distraction from the monumental failures of the APC.

Speaking on why Atiku could not intervene in the PDP crisis, Shaibu stated that the former Vice President is not the party’s National Chairman or the sole administrator of the party.

According to him, the PDP, unlike the APC, was never a private estate controlled from Bourdillon, where one individual tele-guides decisions and stifles internal democracy.

He said, “Before You Speak, Check the Mirror. Adams Oshiomhole’s attempt to question Atiku Abubakar’s capacity is nothing more than a tired distraction from the monumental failures of the APC, the very party he helped foist on Nigeria, and the same party that has driven the country to its worst state in decades. @atikuwas Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, not the national chairman of the PDP, and certainly not the sole administrator of a political institution with thousands of independent leaders across the country.

“Leadership in a democratic party is not dictatorship. The PDP, unlike the APC, was never a private estate controlled from Bourdillon, where one individual tele-guides decisions and stifles internal democracy.

“If Oshiomhole seeks the man who “fixed a party” into a personal empire, he needs only look at the godfather he serves. Under the APC, party supremacy died, dissent was criminalised, and institutions of state became partisan weapons. That is the only kind of “fixing” Oshiomhole understands.

“Atiku’s record speaks for itself: He rebuilt the economy as chairman of the National Economic Council. He championed reforms that attracted investment and strengthened the private sector. He has never been President, yet his development blueprint remains the most coherent Nigeria has seen in decades.

“The real question is this: If the APC could not fix Nigeria after eight wasted years and nearly 3 years of Tinubu, what moral authority does Oshiomhole have to comment on leadership? Nigerians know the truth. Atiku Abubakar represents vision, experience, and capacity. Oshiomhole represents noise, propaganda, and the bruising legacy of a party that betrayed the hopes of millions. He should sit this one out.”
