The African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Dumebi Kachikwu, has said that the former Senate President, David Mark-led ADC coalition brought Nigeria to ruin.
Naijaonpoint reports that Kachikwu made the remark on Thursday while appearing as a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
Kachikwu questioned which nation the coalition leaders want to rescue, stressing they were entrusted with responsibilities but failed woefully.
He said, “You have to look at the antecedents of those who make up the coalition. Someone like Bolaji Abdullahi and those he represents.
“These are the people who have brought Nigeria to a ruin. These are people who were entrusted with responsibilities and they failed woefully.
“So, it’s amusing seeing and hearing these people say they want to come and rescue Nigeria. You can’t set a house on fire and then say you are the fire brigade who wants to put the fire out. Check each of them. They are a bunch of former this or that.
“If they have good leadership qualities, Nigerians will not be complaining. What are they trying to come and do? What nation are they coming to rescue? They have nothing to show for their years of leadership.”
