The festive spirit followed the Super Eagles of Nigeria to Morocco as the team marked Christmas Day together in a unique way amid their AFCON 2025 title push.

Just two days after their opening victory against Tanzania at the tournament, the three-time African champions shared a light-hearted moment with a trending video of life inside camp as focus slowly shifts to their next crucial group clash.

How the Super Eagles celebrated Christmas

On Christmas Day, the AFCON 2023 runners-up posted a heartwarming video on their official social media platforms, showing players and backroom staff exchanging festive greetings.

The short clip captured a relaxed mood in camp, with players wearing Christmas-themed hats, smiling, laughing and sending goodwill messages to Nigerians back home.

Despite being unable to spend the holidays with their families, the squad appeared united, as they embraced the togetherness that has long defined the national team.

The celebration came just days after Nigeria opened their AFCON 2025 campaign with a hard-fought 2–1 win over Tanzania in Fes.

Goals from Semi Ajayi and Ademola Lookman sealed all three points, giving the Super Eagles a strong platform in Group C.

Nigeria’s focus now switches firmly back to football proper with the Christmas celebrations behind them. The three-time AFCON champions face a stern test against Tunisia on December 27 in what is expected to be one of the standout fixtures of the group stage, with all tickets sold out.
