“When fear gripped us, God showed up” – Olakunle Churchill reveals why they turned son’s 4th birthday to thanksgiving

Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer and her businessman husband Olakunle Churchill have revealed why they chose not to celebrate their son’s 4th birthday.

On the 2nd of March, Rosy Meurer’s son, Omoniyi Churchill Junior, clocked 4 years, and the family decided to hold a church thanksgiving instead of an elaborate birthday celebration.

On Instagram, Churchill shared a video of them at the church for their thanksgiving. He reflected on how what was meant to be a thanksgiving became greater than their expectations.

He thanked God for healing his son, showing up when fear gripped them, and coming through for them.

The families were grateful for a glorious 4th birthday celebration of their son.

He wrote, “A Heart of Thanksgiving

This year, we made a decision that instead of just celebrating our baby’s birthday, we would dedicate it to thanksgiving. And today, we are here to give God all the glory for our son, Omoniyi Churchill Jnr

What was meant to be a celebration of his 4th birthday became something even greater, a moment to thank God for healing him completely. When fear gripped us, God showed up. When it seemed like the enemy had a say, God proved that He alone has the final word.

We have nothing else to say but THANK YOU, LORD. Thank You for life, healing, and grace. You alone deserve all the praise!”
