Joseph Aloba the father of late singer Mohbad has lamented after his petitioner failed to show up at court.

Kemi Filani reported on June 3rd, the singer’s father cried out to Nigerians in a viral video after he received an invitation from the Alagbon police station. He revealed he didn’t know the details behind the invite, and claimed it was either a move to silence or detain him.

Giving an update to it, he said he answered the call of the police, but painfully, his petitioner didn’t show up. He questioned who would lose a precious jewel like Mohbad and keep quiet.

The clergyman expressed that it hasn’t been funny that he lost his son months back and in his quest to unravel the mystery behind his death, he is being petitioned and needs to answer to the police. He urged Nigerians not to relent in their support through any means available as he called for justice for the deceased.

“Isn’t it funny that I lost my son for months and in my quest to unravel the cause of the de*th of my son, I am being petitioned and need to answer to the police? Wow! I have gone again today to answer the call… Painfully, the petitioner didn’t even show up. Who will lose such a precious jewel as Mohbad and keep mute? Pls you all should not relent in your support through any means achievable. Justice for Mohbad is Justice for all”.

According to some reports, the petitioner is the Oba of Elegushi, who filed a suit against him for Cyber bullying, cyber stalking and criminal defamation. The head of the Aloba legal team, Monisola Odumosu, explained that the allegation came in the heels of a interview granted by Aloba. He added that the late singer’s father further clarified that he did not have any proof to support the allegation against the monarch except the petition written by his late son and other phone conversations he had with him.

While noting that the monarch, who was present at the meeting, demanded a retraction, Odumosu clarified that Aloba was never arrested or detained.
