Media personality and former OAP Tolulope Oniru, better known as Toolz, has shared her thoughts on music legend 2face, otherwise known as 2baba, and Annie’s divorce saga.

Touching on it on a recent episode of her podcast, Off Air, she opined that the couple should have handled the divorce privately. She stated that the timing of his post was wrong, considering Annie was going through a tough time.

Noting how much Annie loves 2face, she expressed sadness over it as she reminisced on their love journey and how everyone wanted a happy ever after for Annie, but the reverse was the case. Toolz further stressed that 2face shouldn’t have announced the divorce, knowing Annie was getting dragged over her portrayal on the Young Famous and African reality show. She reminded the singer that he once loved her and she was the mother of his children.

Oniru noted how lots of celebrities get divorced privately all the time.

“She said, “There is a lot that goes on in marriages. They [2face and Annie] have had very public ups and downs. But I just feel that this is something they could have handled privately, especially with what was going on with Annie at that point.

It didn’t need to come out now. People get divorced privately all the time. Everybody knows that Annie loves 2Face very much. It is quite sad for a lot of people because when you think about their love journey, everybody wanted a happy-ever-after for her, but life happened.

I feel like somebody you got married to, at some point, I imagined you loved, mother of your children, everything when she’s going through something really publicly, and people are attacking her, it’s not nice to just come and announce that you’re divorcing her that same period.”

Toolz’ comment add to the list of celebrities weighing into their divorce saga.

Nigerian rapper and former Plantashun boiz member Blackface had written an open letter to them, reminding them to show decorum and be civil with whatever proceedings they are going through. He urged them to keep it together in the family as he noted how every relationship has its ups and downs and prayed that God gives them the strength to scale through this.

Iyabo Ojo expressed disappointment at 2baba with the timing of his post as she noted how Annie is currently vulnerable. She prayed that the couple weather this storm and find strength to prioritize their children’s needs.

Media personality Daddy Freeze, in a video live, admonished Nigerians not to cancel 2baba because of his flaws as he noted how 2baba has never hidden his philandering ways and was like that before Annie married him. He stated that cheating is the singer’s weakness and added that both 2baba and Annie had faults in the marriage.

Media personality, Toke Makinwa expressed disappointment in his behavior as she vowed to stand by Annie.

BBNaija Queen Atang expressed concern for Annie as she hoped the actress was feeling good.

BBNaija reality star, Khloe Abiri vowed to fight for Annie as she questioned why he would make such an announcement at such a point, knowing how Annie was getting mercilessly dragged on social media.

Actress and filmmaker Mary Remmy Njoku slammed 2Face for publicly humiliating his wife at her lowest. The mother of three claimed she was part of the family Annie Idibia had. While berating his thinking, Mary told him to prepare for questions when needed.

Nigerian celebrity designer Toyin Lawani stated that we shouldn’t kick someone when they are already down. She advocated for love, life, and learning.

Women advocate Ifedayo Agoro, expressed how angry she was and called 2baba’s behavior disgusting as she noted how 2baba had abandoned Annie during her worst moment when she was crucified by the public.

Delta State Governor’s aide Ossai Ovie Success also slammed 2baba, calling ... insensitive and disrespectful since Annie recently lost twins and was suffering intense backlash.
