A Nigerian medical doctor, Obianma Onyia, has said men who split bills 50-50 with their wives should be ashamed of themselves.
The 53-year-old mother of three medical doctors stated this in a Facebook post on Monday, September 8, 2025.
According to the doctor, a woman already brings a lot to the table by managing the home, cooking, cleaning, giving birth and taking care of the children.
“Come o! Ndi 50:50 men, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Why are you a man if you cannot pay most of the bills????,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Monday, September 8.
Real women won’t take you seriously. Little wonder most working class babes prefer to remain single these days.
You ask what she brings to the table. The answer is: That beautiful woman (even if she doesn’t have her own career or earn her own money) IS THE TABLE!
Yes because she makes the house a home, manages the home (cooks, cleans, organizes) , gives birth to & raises your children, caters to your emotional and physical needs even when it’s inconvenient for her (and even helps you out financially when necessary) etc. etc.
Then you expect her to give you half of her earnings as well??? You wan kpai pesin pikin ???
For those women campaigning for 50:50 to save the man from kpaing, are you yourselves immune to kpaing from all the load you willingly decided to carry??? You get sense so?
