Award-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has revealed why God blessed him with a daughter who resembles his late mother.

While sharing some motivational words on stage at his Hollywood Bowl show, he revealed that God gave him a daughter with a striking resemblance to his late mother to fill his heart with a whole lot of love.

Kemi Filani reported early this month that the music star had made his first public appearance with his daughter. The singer and his 6-month-old daughter, alongside her mother, Jada Pollock, attended the premiere of his documentary in New York.

Following their first public appearance, Wizkid Twitter page, revealed that his daughter is named after his late mother, Morayo.

The Grammy singer lost his mother, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun to the cold hands of death on Friday, August 18th, 2023. During his mother’s Night of Tribute, the singer, broke down as he gave an emotional speech at her funeral. He admitted that the pain is profound and it hurts deeply. According to him, it is the deepest pain he has ever felt in his life.

His mother was given a befitting burial which had in attendance several celebrities like Oba Elegushi, billionaire Tony Elumelu, Eniola Badmus, Osas Ighodaro, Kwam1, Wande Coal, Paul Okoye, Banky W, Mercy Eke, and more in attendance.
