Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has revealed that she has no plans to purchase the newly released iPhone 17.
Naijaonpoint reports that the filmmaker in a video on her Snapchat said she is satisfied with the devices she already owns.
Over the weekend, fans flooded Akindele’s page, asking why she had not joined other celebrities in upgrading to the latest iPhone model.
Responding to one of the comments, she explained that she currently uses multiple phones, including three iPhones and a Samsung, and sees no reason to buy another.
Akindele mentioned that her dance videos are mostly on her iPhone 13, which she refuses to part with because of the memories and files stored on it.
She added that she also owns the iPhone 15, and 16, but has no interest in purchasing the iPhone 17.
She told fans that she is content with the phones she has and will continue using them instead of buying a new one.
She said: “iPhone 17 for where? No o, this is my iPhone 13 that I had then. I bought iPhone 14. I think I gave it to production. Then there’s iPhone 15 and I have iPhone 16. I’m not buying anything again.
“I refuse to let go of this 13 because backing up all those things, my WhatsApp, the videos I have on it, I don’t want to let go. I’m attached to it. I’m not going to buy any iPhone 17 again, never.”
“Let me be using the ones I have. I have three iPhones and one Samsung. I can’t give you any one. I have things on them. Let it be there.”
