Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed why he may not start a family anytime soon.

Naijaonpoint reports that the singer said starting a family is not on the table at the moment because of his busy touring schedule.

The 34-year-old Rivers-born singer shared this in an interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra in London.

Ogulu spoke on the challenges of settling down while constantly performing around the world.

The ‘Odogwu’ crooner admitted that although he would like to have a family, he does not want to begin that journey while still actively touring, as it would be difficult to balance both.

He said, “I don’t want to start that on the road. I’m not planning of quitting tours anytime soon, so I don’t know where to now put that [starting a family]; find a middle ground.”

Meanwhile, Burna Boy has released a new album titled ‘No Sign of Weakness’.

Naijaonpoint reports that this makes it the eighth studio project in his music career.

The album became available on Friday, July 11, 2025.

The 16-track album explores deep emotions, strong African identity, and a mix of global sounds.

Burna Boy, known for his Afro-fusion style, brings together powerful beats and stories from his roots while pushing the sound beyond borders.

The new album includes collaborations with both local and international acts.
