Nigerian politician Senator Ned Nwoko has defended polygamy.
The husband of actress Regina Daniels, in an interview on Channels Television, said he feels sorry for those who have only one wife. He described marrying one wife as standing on one leg, which he believes isn’t comfortable. The politician said standing on 2 or more legs is more balanced.
Ned Nwoko said he doesn’t regret marrying multiple wives and would repeat the experience in his next life. He noted how one should be able to marry whoever they want.
Addressing domestic violence allegations from his actress wife, he said he isn’t a violent person and he respects his wives and loves them and his kids.
“Standing on one leg is very difficult, but standing on 2, 3 or more is balanced. I feel sorry for those who marry one wife, because it is difficult to stand on one leg. I don’t have any regrets about marrying multiple wives, and I would do the same thing again. You should marry who you want to marry. I am not a violent person, I respect my wives and love them and my kids”.
Last year, Ned, speaking highly of Regina to his friends and her mother, praised her as a rare gem. He revealed that Regina had many suitors, including Reverend Pastors, film producers, and more, but she kept her virginity till after they got married.
In March of last year, Ned Nwoko stirred the internet after he made it known that he couldn’t marry a woman who wasn’t a virgin. He noted how people always have an idea of the woman he should marry, but he doesn’t listen. He stated that he has a taste as he further added that one must be a man of vision to know to be able to sight a good woman.
Regina Daniels shocked the internet when she married in April 2019, to politician, Ned Nwoko, who is older than her with 38 years.
Shedding light on her marriage, Regina said she is the stubborn type, so she married an older man so she could be submissive. Her husband, on his part, debunked rumours that he met Regina through her mother as he revealed that they fell in love and got married within three weeks.
