In a recent interview, Jamaican dancehall artist Vybz Kartel opened up about forgiving his wife after discovering her infidelity while he was serving a 13-year prison sentence.

Despite this revelation, he expressed continued respect for her and an understanding of the emotional challenges she faced in his absence.

“She held it in for years, but she couldn’t bear it anymore. I still respect her because I understand that people are human. I am sure she loves me since she has always supported me. Even when she was going through a rough patch, I could still call her and say, ‘Surety, go to the bank and make sure the lawyer gets this. Pay this bill.’ She was there for me throughout my imprisonment. Come on, I’ve been in prison for 13 years—what do you expect her to do?” Kartel said.

He emphasized that his commitment to their relationship remains strong, highlighting the importance of forgiveness and resilience in overcoming challenges.
