Why I left Moses Bliss – Ebuka Songs

In a recent interview on Open Up podcast, the I will Pray hit maker, narrated how he met Bliss in Abuja and was later signed to Spotlite Nation. He disclosed that he left the music label because of his intention to focus on his own ministry.

He said, “I will always be grateful for the role Moses Bliss played in my life because as at that time, I had the anointing and gift but didn’t know all of these things professionally. So there was a lot that I learned and the platform opened me to a lot of things that I know right now and that are working for me now.”

“I’m grateful for the journey that I’ve been through here, but at this point now; this is a next level for me to focus on my ministry. And we are in our good space. I have a reason why I haven’t said anything since that time. I didn’t want to bring more conversations around that thing, so I just kept quiet about it. We all get to the point where we just want to be focused on the next phase of our lives, and because of the assignment of God upon my life,” the Obinze in Imo State native added.

Recall that in December 2024, Moses Bliss, the founder of Spotlite Nation, revealed that Ebuka departed the label after just 11 months. The departure sent shockwaves throughout the music industry.

Total Submission, New Generation and Fade Away (2024) had chosen to pursue his music independently.

“There are no issues between me and Ebuka Songs. He was signed to Spotlite Nation but later said he wants to do things on his own. Our contract didn’t end when it was supposed to end. It was a three-year contract. I think 11 months into it, he said he wants to do his music alone. I prayed about it and I said he can go. We hold no grudge against him,” Bliss said.

It need be noted that while their relationship lasted, the duo alongside Yinka Okeleye, Sunmisola Agbebi, and Victor Thompson shut down the city of London in the United Kingdom, as thousands of worshippers from all around the globe for ‘The Bliss Experience’, a unique worship session hosted by, Moses Bliss.

Held at the large-capacity O2 Forum in Kentish Town London, the yet another moment of precious fellowship, was an unforgettable encounter, electrifying revival, and deep intimacy between humanity and divinity.
