WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Nollywood actress Princess Chineke has embarked on a new chapter in her life, answering the call of duty as she joins the U.S. Army.
Known for her remarkable career in the Nigerian film industry, Chineke’s journey has taken a significant turn, as she leaves behind her acting roots to embrace another endeavour.
In a recent interview, Chineke revealed her reasons for joining the U.S. Army, “I feel great answering a call to service. That’s the least I could do for the country that gave me so much. God bless America,” she said.
Chineke, who rose to fame as a former Miss UNIBEN and a contestant in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant, has built an impressive portfolio in Nollywood. Her credits span modelling for TV commercials, billboards, and runway shows, alongside notable film roles.
Though her schedule is now filled with military duties, Chineke hinted that her acting career might not be over. “The opportunity always pops up here and there, but as my schedule is full at the moment,” she noted,
Despite her commitment to the military, Princess Chineke revealed how much she misses Nollywood. “I miss Nollywood a lot. I miss being able to portray different representations of characters. I miss working with my colleagues. I miss bringing life to a story with different collective crafts. I have really missed out a lot.”
As for her recent holiday season, Chineke cherished the opportunity to relax and spend quality time with loved ones. She said: “The holiday was much needed. I spent most of my time with family and taking all the rest I could; the end of the year was quite hectic. This beginning of the year and beyond will also be tedious as I resume back to my Military duties.”
