Why I Slapped Afeez Owo At Movie Set – Nollywood Actor, Yemi Solade

Veteran Nollywood actor, Yemi Solade, has apologised to his colleague, Afeez Owo, for physically assaulting him at a movie set.

Naijaonpoint reports that the thespian tendered the apology during an interview on the latest episode of Behind the Fame ‘African A-List’ podcast, stating that the incident happened 20 years ago.

Recounting the incident, Solade said he became infuriated at Afeez, the production manager at the movie set, for making a false accusation against him, which resulted in a slap.

Giving reasons for his action, the filmmaker said he dislikes insults, and it could be his weakness.

He said, “Let me apologise to Afeez Abiodun. I slapped him once. He was the production manager of a movie, I can’t recall the year, we got to the town outskirts of Ibadan and when we finished filming. We returned to the town everywhere was Brown and as a production manager he was laying some accusations and got me infuriated and that slap came from no where in the dark, I didn’t like that. He left the location early in the morning, and we woke up no seeing him, so Afeez, I’m sorry, mabinu simi.

“It’s been a long time, like 20 years, I’ve complained bitterly to some people before, put let me just stick to Afeez, I don’t like insults, and that could be my weakness”.
