Why I take long periodic breaks from Nollywood – Omotola Jalade opens up

Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has opened up on the reason she’s taking long breaks from the Nigerian film industry.

The mother of four via her social media on Saturday explained that she’s taking the her much needed break, to relax, reflect, and recharge after working continuously for many years.

The veteran actress who begun to act since she was a teenage, explained that the intensity of her job,  made it necessary to step away from time to time to maintain her passion and creative energy.

Omotola wrote: “I know many don’t understand why I step away from movies for a few years and then come back again!

“I’ve seen fans asking when I’ll return to the screen, but when you’ve been working since 15 like I have… you’ll understand the need to relax, relive, relearn, and recharge. Who gets it and who’s following?”
