Queen Ashley, the fourth wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has spoken about her strength.
The Ife Queen, while marking the new month, said she understands her role as a queen now because she was born and raised a princess, prepared by yesterday’s lessons to wear today’s crown with purpose, power, and peace.
Queen Ashley said her strength is a legacy that she has won, lived through, and blossomed with every step she takes toward becoming who she was always destined to be.
The mother of two added that she embodies both grace and fire, intuition and intellect, resilience wrapped in elegance. When she steps into her purpose, she doesn’t just evolve; she reigns.
“I understand my role as a queen now because I was born and raised a princess, prepared by yesterday’s lessons to wear today’s crown with purpose, power, and peace.
My strength is a legacy that is passed down, lived through, and blossoms with every step I take toward becoming who I was always meant to be. I am both grace and fire, intuition and intellect, resilience wrapped in elegance. When I step into my purpose, I don’t just evolve, I reign.
Happy New Month Folks”.
In October, Ashley had written a love note to the Ooni on their 3rd wedding anniversary to the Ooni. She stated that from the day he chose her, her heart found its home in him. She called the monarch her greatest blessing, and promised to love him endlessly, to care for him and to stand by him.
Recall that the Ooni of Ife married Princess Ashley as his fourth wife in October 2023. This was a dream come true for Princess Ashley, who had been a long-time concubine of the monarch. The royal wedding was held in Ile Ife, with many dignitaries in attendance.
In April, she shared the secrets of her love for the king. She shared lovely moments between herself and her husband, listing the many things the king kept doing that made her dedicate herself to him.
Early, this year, Queen Ashley reflected on her past three months as she expressed gratitude for God’s unwavering love and faithfulness. The mother of two added that these months were a testament to His goodness, reminding her that His plans are always perfect.
