“Why we didn’t have our court wedding in Nigeria” – Temi Otedola and Mr Eazi spill as they open up on the stress and disagreement of planning their destination weddings (Video)

Temi Otedola opens up on the stress and disagreement before settling on three destination weddings K

Nigerian power couple Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola have opened up about the stress and disagreements they faced before settling on three destination weddings.

In a recent interview, the couple admitted that they planned their three weddings across three countries within just three months, which proved to be a challenging task. They revealed how overwhelming the entire process became, especially with one event following closely on the heels of another.

Temi shared that their original idea was to have a quiet court wedding in Nigeria, but privacy quickly became an issue.

“Three weddings in three months is insãne. If we went to the courthouse in Nigeria, it wouldn’t be as private as we wanted”.

The couple revealed that they had an alternative, which was to bring the court officials into their living room for a private civil ceremony. Temi found the idea interesting, but Mr Eazi wasn’t fully convinced. Their disagreement pushed them back to the drawing board, and they contemplated having it in the UK, but Temi admitted it didn’t feel personal enough to her.

They eventually settled on Monaco for their civil wedding, a choice Temi described as more sentimental.

Temi said she thought getting married was deciding and signing papers, but it is a mountain of administration.

“I thought getting married was just deciding and signing papers. I didn’t know there was a mountain of administration”.

Kemi Filani reported in August that Mr Eazi and Temi, tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony in Hallgrimskirkja Church, Reykjavik, Iceland.

In an exclusive article with Vogue Magazine, last week, the couple released their wedding pictures, revealing that they tied the knot in 3 different countries, Monaco, Dubai and Iceland. The couple had their Court wedding on May 9th in Monaco, their traditional wedding on July 5th in Dubai, and their white wedding in Iceland.

Following their high-profile wedding, the daughter of Femi Otedola had first updated her social media bio to reflect her marital status. Temi dropped her father’s name and took up her husband’s name, Ajibade.

In another post, she had revealed why they chose Iceland for their white wedding. She revealed that since she and Eazi took their first trip in 2021, they fell in love with the country’s people, nature and energy.

Sharing unseen footage from her white wedding, she said they made their vow before God, their family, and friends.

Refreshing your memory, Mr Eazi engaged his longtime lover, Temi Otedola, on Sunday, April 10, 2022. Speaking on why she accepted his proposal, Temi said she felt a sense of peace with him, like she had found her soulmate, and she had never felt it with anyone else.
