Former Commissioner for Employment Generation and Empowerment, Leloonu Nwibubasa, has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, of hindering governance in Rivers State.
Speaking during an appearance on Arise Television on Friday, he stated that Wike is politically drowning and is blaming everyone for his troubles.
Nwibubasa wondered why Wike would not allow Rivers people to rest after completing his eight-year tenure.
According to him, “He is not only attacking his successor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, but also throwing tantrums and blaming outside actors that have nothing to do with politics in Rivers State.
“The FCT Minister has always been in news for wrong reason to stir the waters in Rivers State in such a direction that we all really wouldn’t understand why having left as governor eight years ago, will not allow rivers people to rest by allowing governance to take place in the state.
“So, you could see a man who, obviously, politically may be drowning, but looking for every person to blame. This is exactly the situation in Rivers state.
“It will be right to advise the FCT Minister, especially now that he does not belong to any political party, that he cannot continue to play politics in Rivers state in such a way that he does not belong to one party.”
