The Media Aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, has alleged that former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, owns a mansion valued at $552,000.00 (about ₦885 million) in the United States.

Naijaonpoint reports that Olayinka made this disclosure on Friday in a post on his verified X handle.

He also alleged that Sowore is the sole proprietor of the AAC under which he has been contesting for the presidency.

According to Wike’s aide, Sowore, the Publisher of Sahara Reporters was suspended by AAC members over corruption issues.

He said, “Sowore is the Chairman of AAC political party. He is Presidential Candidate of AAC. He is Financial Secretary of AAC. In fact, he is Sole Proprietor of ACC.

“He owns mansion worth $552,000.00 (about N885m) in the US. Na CASHTIVIST Sowore be that. Reason his party members suspended him for CORRUPTION.”

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rivers State chapter, has urged the Federal Government to take a tough stance against the African Action Congress (AAC) 2023 presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, over his recent criticisms of President Bola Tinubu and Wike.

The party also appealed to Nigerians to reject what it described as the “antics of a serial merchant of discord and purveyor of half-truths,” insisting that Sowore’s comments were defamatory and dangerous to Nigeria’s democracy.

In a statement on Wednesday, APC state chairman, Tony Okocha, said spreading falsehoods to discredit leaders was unacceptable.
