Ndidi’s links away from Leicester City do not come as a surprise though. He was one of the best players in a team that wobbled and stumbled to relegation in the Premier League last season.
Following Leicester City’s relegation, reports emerged that the Super Eagles star has a clause in his contract that will see his release clause drop to €9 million if they drop to the English Championship.

In the meantime, none of the clubs interested in Ndidi has tabled an offer yet, but the issue should pick up some steam in the coming days.

In a related development per Team Talk, Manchester United are set to make a move. They are going to offer Leicester €5 million for Ndidi.
Although an opening bid, it is just over half of the €9 million in Ndidi’s contract. It is also a third of the Nigerian’s actual valuation according to Transfermarkt.

Leicester City will likely reject the €5 million bid, especially as Ndidi has other suitors. If they don’t increase their offer, they will still have other options.
