WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Reigning African Player of the Year Ademola Lookman has revealed one crucial weapon that will help the Super Eagles overcome Rwanda in their FIFA World Cup qualifier on Friday, footynaija.com reports. Lookman will be one of the players to watch out for as Nigeria seek to breathe some life into their qualifying campaign with a much needed win against group C leaders Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium. Currently enjoying a great personal as well as team campaign with Atalanta in the Italian Serie A, Lookman will be heading into tomorrow’s game full of confidence and the 27-year-old is relishing the fight that awaits. “The team is looking forward to Friday’s game, first game, looking to go out there and to work and to impose ourselves on the game,” Lookman told NFF TV. “Rwanda is a good team. We know about their quality but at the end of the day, we have to be focused on ourselves and try to bring the game to them and to fight to get the win.” Lookman, who has been a regular fixture in the Super Eagles since switching allegiance back in 2022, is confident that the togetherness of the current group of players will be a winning formula against the Amavubi. “Everybody knows the level of players that we have. It’s an incredible group of players and most importantly, everybody is a good person,” he continued. “Everybody has the same objective to try to win and to want to win and that’s very important. The group is very together, very tight-knitted so that’s a winning formula. “Everybody’s positive. We’ve had two good training sessions, yesterday and obviously today. Today was more intense so as a team, we’re looking forward to putting on a great performance.”
