Tufab, an associate of singer Wizkid, has publicly called out Davido over an alleged threat to his life.
On Wednesday, Tufab made the accusation in a viral post on X, sharing what he claimed were messages from Davido. He urged the public to hold Davido responsible if anything were to happen to him.
In the leaked message, Davido accused Tufab of calling him “Osakpolo,” a name he found offensive.
In his message, Davido identified himself as a member of the “Aye” fraternity and referred to Tufab as a “bird.”
The message read, “My name is not Osakpolo; I’m warning you. Okay, continue. That’s all I will say. I dey warn you. What do you want to happen? You be bird, I be aye. Let’s play the game.”
In response, Tufab denied calling Davido “Osakpolo” and also denied being part of any cult. He wrote, “But I didn’t even call you that. And please stop warning me, bro. We’ve gotten past this level. I’ve never said anything hurtful to you.
“I’m bringing this to the general public as a disclaimer about my character. First of all, let me clarify that I am not affiliated with any cult or fraternity, and I don’t have a problem with anyone who is.
“As you can see in this screenshot, I’m being threatened, and this is not the first time. It has become too frequent. I don’t know what game he is talking about, but I have seen similar situations play out in real life and in movies. My life is under threat, and if anything happens to me, you all know who to hold responsible. The only reason I’m doing this is to protect myself.”
This development has sparked controversy on X, with many users condemning Davido for his actions.
