WATCH THE VIDEO HERE POLICE in Mufulira have apprehended a 21-year-old woman who has allegedly been circulating obscene videos of herself naked and having sex on her social media platforms. The woman has been sharing the pornographic materials on her TikTok account and Facebook. Copperbelt Province police commanding officer Peacewell Mweemba said that Mercy Mwakesa of Ndeke Township in Mufulira has been detained for the production of pornographic material for the purpose of distribution. “On 14th May 2024 at 09:00 hrs, Mufulira police station, through the office of Anti-Fraud, received a report from members of the public stating that Mercy Mwakesa had produced and circulated pornographic material via Facebook,” he said. Mr Mweemba stated that between May 6 and 15 this year, Mwakesa circulated an obscene video of herself engaging in sexual acts. “Acting on this information, an investigation was initiated, leading to the apprehension of the accused. She is currently detained in custody, and the mobile phone used in the offense has been recovered, along with her National Registration Card,” he said. And in another video posted on her social media page, Mercy defended herself stating that the said obscene materials were distributed by her ‘scammer’ boyfriend. ...
