February 2026 is set to be a major month for X-Men fans, as Marvel’s ‘Shadows of Tomorrow’ X-initiative fully kicks off with a wave of new titles and storylines that will launch a new era for mutants following the close of the Age of Revelation crisis event.

Marvel has just dropped some of its February solicitation information, teasing a swath of titles, issues, cover art, and more for the X-Men’s upcoming event in February. Those who have been following the Age of Revelations storyline know that Cyclops’ consciousness was sent into the future, allowing him to witness the horrors awaiting the X-Men.

Shadows of Tomorrow, however, will see Cyclops return to the present with these dark visions intact, making them impossible to ignore and serving as the main premise of the narrative.

Marvel’s Next X-Men Era Is Here, But What Makes This Line-Up So Game-Changing?

Shadows of Tomorrow Sets the Stage for the Fight Against X-Men’s Darkest Future Yet

The announcement of Shadows of Tomorrow originally dropped at New York Comic Con, where it was revealed that the initiative would unite flagship X-lines, revamped solo titles, and brand-new series. Among the returning runs are favorites like Uncanny X-Men, X-Men, and Wolverine, while new titles such as Generation X-23 and Wade Wilson: Deadpool will also help bulk up the line.

Fans can also look forward to solo titles for Cyclops, Storm, Rogue, and Magik, along with a new series from Exceptional X-Men writer Eve L. Ewing that has yet to be announced. Together, these storylines will present fans with one of the X-Men’s most high-stakes eras to date, as mutants scramble to prevent their darkest timeline from becoming reality.

Marvel’s official synopsis for the event reads:

A terrifying glimpse at 10 years into the future revealed a world ravaged by the X-Virus and stripped of free will, all orchestrated by one of the X-Men! Back in present day, it’s time to embrace bold action, strengthen alliances, and empower the next generation! United, the X-Men will save mutantkind’s future and ensure their dream isn’t darkened by the SHADOWS OF TOMORROW!
