No fewer than 500 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have benefited from festive season humanitarian packages distributed by the Favour Itunu Gift Oladosu (FIGO) Foundation and Yackiss King in Ejigbo.
The program sponsored by the Founder of Yackiss King Foundation, Hon. Yakub Akande Jayeola, was held on Saturday at the Karowosaye Event Centre in the Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State.
Speaking at the event, the Ejigbo Local Government APC Chairman, Hon. Lateef Ige, commended the organisers for extending their humanitarian services to party members.
He assured members of his continued efforts to facilitate programs that would benefit all members during his tenure.
In his remarks, a chieftain of the APC in Ejigbo, Hon. Tajudeen Oladipupo, described the programme as a commendable gesture.
He noted that, in the future, an APC-led government at the local level would collaborate with FIGO and other charity foundations to provide humanitarian support aimed at alleviating poverty.
Hon. Oladipupo assured the beneficiaries of the party’s commitment to continued support, stating that members would enjoy a fair share of the dividends of democracy, including the autonomy granted to local governments.
Addressing the beneficiaries, the Founder of the FIGO Foundation, Itunu Oladosu, stated that the foundation has reached virtually every part of the local government with various forms of humanitarian support targeted at different categories of people.
She noted that the end-of-year programme was organised to support humanity and spread love to homes during the festive season.
Itunu Oladosu assured beneficiaries of the foundation’s continued support and urged them to remain hopeful as they celebrate Christmas and the New Year with love and gratitude.
The beneficiaries, who received rice, garri, and other food items, were selected from the eleven wards across Ejigbo Local Government Area.
