Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo has called out her colleagues over lack of support for her new movie.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, she noted that over the years, she has promoted many movies that she didn’t even feature in. According to her, even though she hasn’t produced any movies since 2013, she has been supporting people to the extent that she went to the DMs of producers to send their movies to her for promotion.
Now, she has produced her own movie, and no one is supporting her. Biodun questioned what her offence was and if she was a bad person. She noted how only a few supported her.
Calling them wicked, Okeowo questioned if it is when bad things happen to people that they would post.
“I have posted a lot of movies that I didn’t even feature in. Even though I have not produced any movie since 2013, I have been supporting people to the extent that I went to the DMs of producers to send their movies to me to promote. I have now produced my own movie (DECEMBER PARTY), but no one is supporting me.
What is my offence to you all? Am I that bad? Only a few of my colleagues, whom I can count, supported me. It is when bad things happen to people that you post. You are w!cked.
Favour is selective and personal. What I am talking about is support, which is intentional, professional, and rooted in collective growth. We are useful to ourselves alive… then let’s support ourselves while we are still living.

Hours ago, Biodun called out two categories of people in the industry. She firstly slammed actors who feature in movies but make it difficult to support the producer when it is time for promotion. She also called out some colleagues who are extremely stingy with support.
A week ago, Biodun had slammed her colleagues and others for quickly posting about the death of Allwell Ademola. She expressed sadness at the way people are quicker to post RIP than congratulations. Describing it as alarming, she prayed that our best picture wouldn’t be used as RIP.
Last year, the Yoruba star had promised to make a scapegoat of a man who accused her of stealing a multimillion-naira property. She promised to make him a scapegoat and said he must prove that she was a thief.
In a different news, the mother of two had sent a message to those fighting battles. She noted that almost everyone fights a battle, as she admonished those in such situations to stop thinking life is unfair to them and noted that hard times don’t last forever.
The actress shared a thought-provoking post about helping others, but not at one’s detriment. Recounting an incident with a friend in the entertainment industry, she explained that if one responds to every touching story, someday they’ll become a story, and the people who clapped with them will be the ones dragging them.
