Nollywood actress and movie producer Wumi Toriola has given her senior colleague, Joke Muyiwa her flowers.
In an Instagram post, she described Joke as a true treasure in Nollywood as she praised her for her performance in her movie, Konge 3. She noted how Joke orchestrated a masterpiece, weaving together every thread of the character’s journey.
According to Toriola, Muyiwa made the character her own, bringing authenticity, warmth and depth to every scene. She added that the veteran nailed it and appreciated her for bringing the story to life.

A few days back, Wumi had spoken about her struggles shooting Konge 3. She revealed that she broke down in tears immediately after wrapping the movie. She said shooting the movie was a journey, as she was in the middle of a procedure, sick and tired, and the character shook her.
In the past two years, Wumi has proven her worth in Nollywood with the premiere of her first cinema movie.
Wumi made history in the cinema world as she was ranked the second-highest producer of 2024, beating the likes of Odunlade Adekola, Toyin Abraham, Eniola Ajao, and others to achieve this milestone.
She earned 57.7 million on her opening weekend. The huge feat made it the highest Nollywood opening weekend for a non-holiday weekend and the highest-ever Nollywood opening weekend by an independent distributor.
Te Yoruba star had received a box office award. The Yoruba actress took to her Instagram page to share the news with her fans and followers, as she revealed that she was awarded the box office champion of 2024 by the National Film and Video Censors Board NFVCB.
