“You can have money and not still be happy” – Rapper Chinko Ekun says; netizens disagree

Nigerian rapper and songwriter Oladipo Olamide Emmanuel, better known by his stage name Chinko Ekun, has stirred reactions with a message to netizens.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform Twitter now known as X, he stated that one can have money and not still be happy.

“You can have money and not still be happy”.

Though his statement is true, many however disagreed with him.

Chinko Ekun isn’t the only one with that school of thought that money doesn’t buy happiness.

Anita Okoye, the ex-wife of music star Paul Okoye or Rude Boy, had listed out the things money can’t buy. She made it known that money can’t buy true love, inner peace, time, authentic happiness, wisdom, respect, fulfillment, or cherished moments. She added that one’s greatest wealth is found in the intangible treasures of life.

Singer and second half of the famous music group Psquare, Paul Okoye, Paul Okoye, stated that if one has all the money in the world and the people around them are not happy, they are worthless.

Disagreeing with them, Yoruba actor, Joseph Momodu, while sharing photos of him in a Ferrari in California, USA, noted how people say money doesn’t buy genuine happiness. However, it is more comfortable to cry in a Ferrari than in a Camry.
