Today, Instagram has announced a new feature that allows sharing your account using a digital profile card. It’s not that we haven’t heard of it before. Back in August, select users spotted the feature when Instagram was testing it. Now that it’s here, let’s talk about it in detail.
Profile card is a new way to share your Instagram account
The new two-sided digital card displays a QR code of your profile. On top of that, it will also include other details visible on your Instagram profile like bio, picture, etc. You can also personalize your Instagram profile card by adding links or your favorite song.
That’s not all, you can even change the background of your profile card. If you are a creator, the profile card can be handy for you too. You can boost your account visibility or promote businesses using relevant links and their contact information right from the card.
If you are looking to view your profile card, first go to your Instagram profile and select “Share profile.” On the next screen, tap the pencil icon from the top-right to edit your profile card. Next, you can use different options located at the bottom of the screen to share your profile with anyone you’d like.
You can also download it and share it on other platforms
Remember, you can also download the profile card and post it on other social media channels. Moreover, if you choose the “Add Story” option, you’ll be able to create a two-sided rotating customizable card. The announcement of the new feature comes after a series of updates Instagram has been rolling out to enhance how users communicate on the platform.
