Nigerian UK based Tosin Abiola also known as Tocyn Omobrish has spoken about the importance of honesty.

Omobrish shared her photo on Instagram with a lengthy note educating her fans about the value of honesty and the inability to choose others’ opinions.

She told them they have no control over what close people chose to say but have the power to respond and it is crucial to take a step back at any given time.

The beautiful actress spoke about learning the value of honesty from a tender age and the readiness to back up every statement she made with evidence.

Sharing insights from her parents, Omobrish admonished her followers to speak with clarity and share their truth without being malicious in the new year.

“You can’t control what someone close chooses to say about you, but you have complete power over how you choose to respond. It’s crucial to take a step back and understand the motivations behind those words. Are they driven by sudden anger? Malice? Or maybe a fear of losing their place in your life? Gaining this insight is vital for navigating the noise.

From a young age, I’ve learned the value of honesty and clarity, always ready to back up my statements with evidence when necessary. If you’re dealing with me, know that you’re interacting with someone who values logic, openness, and integrity. I don’t sugarcoat things; when I speak my truth, I do so with the understanding that it might come with some heavy consequences, but it’s always worth it.

My mum always said: ‘If you have to say anything at all, say it all with no malicious intentions.’ My dad would add: ‘And if your truth is questioned, decide how it makes you feel before offering proof, but only where it’s appropriate.’ It’s 2025. The world is shifting, and authenticity has never been more powerful. Speak with clarity, share your truth without being malicious, and be logical, open, and honest about your stories because your integrity is your strength, and your truth is your freedom.…”
